Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo, Honourable Nii Lante Vanderpuye, claims he has been attacked by the Ghana Police.
According to him, the police tried to break into his hotel room and when he refused, they lobbed tear gas into his hotel room, gassing his wife and kids alongside himself.
Nii Lante is reportedly leading the Ododiodoo constituency results and he claims that has made the NPP violent.

Speaking on GhOne TV, he alleged that some NPP supporters attacked NDC supporters and shot them dead.
However when police arrived at the scene, they allowed the killers to leave and rather came to attack him.
Nii Lante claims the police tried to enter his hotel room which he refused, at which point they gassed him with tear gas.
Nii Lante said his wife and kids have been coughing nonstop after being gassed.

The NDC MP is facing a tough challenge from the NPP’s Nii Lante Bannerman.
