Ghanaian Dancehall singer and song writer Jah Lead has expressed discontent and sorrow over the state of recent music composed in Ghana.
In his words, Ghana, which used to be the hub of harmonies and good content, has been over-washed with shallow and empty songs.
Touching on why he thinks recent musicians sing empty songs, Jah Lead disclosed that complacency makes musicians feel too proud to educate themselves on the career they have chosen.
He added that these musicians believe they are on top because they have one or two hit songs which in itself has no harmonies.
When asked by the host to mention such musicians, the singer noted that he does not need to tarnish their brands but he can confidently state that some A-list musicians have approached him to write songs for them.
Jah lead, who was promoting his new Song, made this statement when he was speaking with Elikem Dzamey II on Showbiz Zone over the weekend.
