Outspoken Ghanaian Actress Lydia Forson has expressed shock on President Akufo-Addo’s decision to appoint politicians who performed poorly in the previous term.
Lydia asked the president the kind of example he is setting for citizens in Ghana for rewarding bad behavior.
She wrote on social media how the government is quick to punish the poor an vulnerable for petty crimes but give a blind eye to the crimes of the rich and influential.
She tweeted, “When politicians are REWARDED for their bad behavior, what examples are we setting for the ordinary citizen. We’re constantly punishing the poor, vulnerable for petty crimes and rewarding rich/influential people for doing worse”.
The actress, in her opinion, thought it is unfair for the president to leave Hon. Hawa Koomson unpunished after she fired live bullets at a voters registration center– and was even surprised to see her appointed as Minister f Fisheries and Aquaculture Development.
