Robert Maraj – Nicki Minaj’s Dad Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident

The father of Trinidad born American rapper Nicki Minaj, Robert Maraj, has been killed.

Robert reportedly died Saturday after being the victim of a hit-and-run accident in Long Island, New York.

According to reports, he was hit by a car whilst taking a walk in Mineola on Long Island Friday.

The driver who hit him didn’t stop but kept driving. Robert was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead Saturday.

Police are investigating the incident and has asked the public to come forward with any information on the hit-and-run.

Born Onika Tanya Maraj, the multiple award winning rapper hails from the island of Trinidad but was raised in New York.

She recently got married and had a child – only to be hit with this tragedy.
