Swedru based rapper, Patapaa has respectfully walked away from VGMA and anything that has to do with it.
He says he is still pained for what they did to him a couple of years ago.

In 2018, Patapaa’s only hit song One Corner was all over the country and lots of people thought he would win the popular song of the year category.
Unfortunately, he did not win and he felt he was cheated.
He says he is still hurt by that and because of that, he would not be participating in it this year.

“I’m still not happy with the disappointment in 2018 after my hit song ‘One Corner’ didn’t win an award despite its positive impact on the world stage. I decided not to participate in the awards scheme but I wish you the best and urge you to do the right things”.
