The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has dropped a bunch of wild allegations against the UK Royal Family in her tell all interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Meghan, the first non-white member of the Royal Family, said before her son with Prince Harry, Archie was born, there were discussions in the royal family wondering about how dark the new child would be.
“[There were conversations about] how dark his skin might be.,” Meghan told Ophrah. “That was relayed to me from Harry,”
“They didn’t want him to be a prince or princess, not knowing what the gender would be, which would be different from protocol, and that he wasn’t going to receive security,” she said.
She added that her newborn son was also denied a royal title and security protection, which she believes was motivated by his mixed race status.
She said she was told about the unborn son not receiving security protection whilst she was still pregnant.
“So he’s not going to be a prince, but he needs to be safe,” Markle said.
She expressed disgust at “the idea of our son not being safe, and also the idea of the first member of color in this family not being titled in the same way that other grandchildren would be.”
Markle and her husband Prince Harry stepped away from their royal family duties in one of the most controversial moves in British Royal family history.
She made it clear all these issues with her son as well as being silenced from speaking out on issues made her and her husband take the decision they did.
