The family of U.S rapper Nicki Minaj has sued the driver who killed her father in a hit and run accident for $150m.
A suit has been filed at the New York Supreme Court against Charles Polevich, who was behind the wheel of the car which killed Robert Maraj, Nicki’s father, on February 12th.

Polevich reportedly refused to stop after striking Robert in the accident. He run from the scene of the accident, leading to Maraj’s death.
Nicki’s mother has taken up the case in court and sued Polevich for $150m.
Her attorneys have released a statement announcing the impending suit.
The statement reads in part: ““After striking Maraj, Polevich left the accident scene and did not call for emergency services or render aid to Maraj.”

They added on Instagram: “He was not only irresponsible and negligent but more concerned about running away and hiding than seeking help. Polevich’s behaviour was criminal, cowardly, and immoral. We will hold him responsible for his reckless actions that led to Robert Maraj’s death!”
