Juju Woman Arrested In Kasoa Ritual Case Denies Knowing Teenagers – Asks Police To Provide Evidence

The traditional priestess linked to the murder of an 11-year-old boy at Kasoa for ritual purposes, was arrested yesterday by the police at Amanase near Suhum in the Eastern Region.

The news was confirmed to a reporter at Adom FM and sources say she has been handed over to the CID Headquarters in Accra to aid in investigation.

Superintendent Irene Oppong, PRO for Central Regional Police however disclosed on TV that the priestess has boldly denied knowing the teenagers and influencing them to commit murder.

She was said to have charged the police to provide evidence of her involvement in the case or release her from police custody to continue her trade.

DSP Irene Oppong assured the public that they will also provide their evidence to the Juju woman and let her face the full force of the law in court.

In a related story, the teenagers were arraigned before the Awutu Ofankor District Court on 6th April where they confirmed that they called a spiritualist they saw on TV to help them get rich and she said they should bring a human being and an amount of GHC 5,000 if they want to be rich.
