An amputee who became famous on social media after being spotted selling pure water in traffic is in trouble.
Sympathisers all over the web came together to raise money to help her out but apparently. she’s not going to see a kobo of that donation.
The Lagos State government has witheld the donation from being given to her after she was discovered to have lied about parts of her history.
The lady claimed that her legs were amputated after she was involved in an accident which killed everyone on board, including her parents.
She claimed that she was left with a child and her grandmother to take care of, forcing her to become a hawker.
However, it turns out her father is alive and her leg was amputated from birth.
The lies she told to garner sympathy has led to the Lagos State government deciding to withold the money donated to her.
Nigerians, however, have called for the money to still be given to her and not be wasted by the government.
