I’m Yet To See A Legend Complimenting Young Acts For Using Their Verses In Our Songs – Kelvyn Boy Justifies Song Theft

“Mea” hit maker, Kelvyn boy has granted an interview to justify why current musicians are lazy in writing their own lyrics but are quick to sample songs from legends.

Kuami Eugene, Mr. Drew and Kelvyn Boy, to mention a few, are some of the names Ghanaians mention when song theft topics are raised.

Recently, Kelvyn Boy was accused by legendary high life musician Oheneba Kissi for sampling his song for a project without seeking permit. Click here to read.

Reacting to the allegation from the legend, Kelvyn Boy told Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM that he is yet to see any old musician or legend compliment young acts for immortalizing their works by using their lyrics in songs.

Kelvyn Boy said that he only used a small portion of lyrics but didn’t know it belonged to Oheneba Kisi. He added that said lyrics was even used at the end of the song and didn’t play any major role.
