Sarkodie, DJ Switch And Others Receive Awards At 2021 IRAWMA

Good news for Ghana as we bagged four out of five awards we were nominated at the 2021 IRAWMA.

The 2021 edition which happens to be the 39th IRAWMA saw the likes of Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, DJ Switch, and Kwame Yeboah walk home smiling.

Shatta Wale won the ‘Virtual Entertainer of The Year’ award. He won ahead of Beenie Man, Buju Banton, and others.

Sarkodie also took home the ‘Best Virtual Showcase/Concert of The Year’ with his Black over Concert even ahead of the popular Reggae Sunfest.

Young disc jockey, DJ Switch, was named the ‘Best Young Entertainer of The Year’ while Kwame Yeboah emerged as the ‘Instrumentalist of The Year’.

Unfortunately Stonebwoy lost his shot at bagging the Best Afrocan Reggae Artist of The year award.

The 2021 edition of the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) was held on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
