One of the men who has become a sensation since they came on Date Rush, Ali has spoken about what he had to face with his family after coming on the show.
He says some members of his family came to hate him and some even disowned him because they could not fathom why a guy like him would come on national Tv to look for love.

Ali says none of that has discouraged him from becoming who he wants to be.
He says he could care less about what any of them has to say about his decision to go on Tv to look for love.

“My family have always warned me not to venture into the entertainment industry. Even when I started acting at an early age, my parents on several occasions threatened to disown me if I don’t stop. Up until now some of my family members are not happy I participated in Date Rush. They have refused to talk to me and have cut every means of communication with me.”
