A 54-year-old woman identified as Clara Ayani-Ampah has been arrested by the police after a baby she maltreated died shortly after subjecting her through pain.
Clara Ayani-Ampah, a caregiver at Happy Bloomers preschool, located at Ashongman Estates in Accra was captured on camera forcing food in the throat of an 11 months old baby.
She is seen pouring food nonstop into the mouth of a crying baby whilst she held the babies hands at her back.
The baby is seen gasping for air and throwing her legs about but the caregiver didn’t bother.
According to the report, the baby died later after she was taken to the hospital by the Manager of the school.

Public Relations Officer of Accra Regional Police Command, DSP Afia Tenge revealed in an interview that the father of the baby reported the case after the management of the school informed him about his daughter condition.
The Management of the school is said to have handed over CCTV footage of how the suspect, Clara Ayani-Ampah manhandled the baby.
