A popular Nigerian media personality, Pearl Modiadie has revealed the harassment she faced because her former boss at Metro FM wanted to have s*x with her.
Modiadie, who at first was afraid to go public about being a victim of s*xual harassment at her former job, has detailed the numerous disturbing experiences she endured under her male manager while working at a national broadcasting station.
Her courage to speak up came after Sunday World made a report on s*xual harassment at Metro FM which Pearl quickly confirmed the news on twitter.
She thanked the media house and revealed that she would’ve never had the courage to speak out about the s*xual harassment she was subjected to at Metro FM.
“I kept quiet for too long until media picked it up and never have I been grateful for that because it finally gave me the courage to speak out about the sexual harassment I was was subjected to at Metro FM,” Her tweet read.
Pearl Modiadie refused to renew her five years contract with Metro FM this year and walked out of the media house with bags of allegation ready to bring down the manager of the company.
Reports sighted online from Sunday World claims Pearl was a victim of S8xual harassment and she reported to higher authorities but nothing was done about it.
Sunday World alleged that they have evidence in the form of E-mails between Pearl Modiadie and the station’s marketing team complaining about some inappropriate comments her manager made about her.
They also alleged that the radio personality has been subjected to verbal abuse and s*xual harassment on countless occasion.
Pearl reportedly joins an exodus of famous on air presenters including Lootlove, Thomas Msengana among others who left the radio station this year without reason.
S*xual harassment in work places is a canker that many ladies, especially the pretty ones, face on daily basis.
