Top International CNN journalist, Christiane Amanpour has revealed that she’s been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
The journalist made the sad revelation on Monday, 14th June 2021.
She noted that she recently took a time off at her job because she was scheduled for surgery as part of her treatment of her cancer.
According to Amanpour, the surgery was successful as doctors were able to remove the cancerous cell. She reveled she is now going through series of chemotherapy ‘for the very best possible longterm prognosis’.
Christian Amanpour said on CNN;
“I’ve had successful major surgery to remove it, and I am now going through several months of chemotherapy for the very best possible longterm prognosis, and I am confident.
“I am telling you this in the interest of transparency, but really as a shout out to most early diagnosis.

“I urge women to educate themselves on this disease; to get all the regular screenings and scans that you can; to always listen to your bodies, and of course to ensure that your legitimate medical concerns are not dismissed or diminished.”
