Shatta Wale has dropped a sloppily written, insult to good music track titled ‘Shw3’ as a diss against entertainment journalist Arnold Asamoah Baidoo.
Wale quickly ran to the studio after his hot fight against Arnold on United Showbiz Saturday night to cook up this mess of a song as a diss single.
Titled ‘Shw3’, the single is a direct response to Baidoo after the two fought on Nana Ama McBrown’s show over the weekend.
As we all recollect, Shatta Wale was livid that Arnold had called him an inconsistent and confused artiste on United Showbiz the week before.
Wale came prepared to get Arnold to apologize to him and when the calm and collected Baidoo refused, Shatta Wale predictably lost his mind.
He rained insults on Arnold from all angles for daring not to bow to his majesty Shatta Wale. Wale said he had been disrespected and would not stand for it and spent close to a half hour blowing up at every word Arnold uttered.
He insulted him, claiming his shoes cost just Ghc 2.50 and that he is poor after decades of work in the industry.
At a point, he demanded an apology which Arnold retorted to with ‘Shw3’ – a dismissive retort which Wale has used as the title for his diss.
The diss itself is poorly written and it shows. It’s clear Wale just jumped into the studio in a haste to drop anything as a response hence he had little to say and kept repeating his lines over and over.
All he had to say was to insult Arnold’s appearance again with very little of substance to add.
Of course, the SM crowd eats up everything that comes from their god hence they will lap this song up as usual but technically it’s an insult to good music.
Wale of course, doesn’t care. The movement will listen to it and whatever coins he will make from the song will enter his account.
However, long term, it’s because of behaviour like he put up on Saturday and poorly constructed songs like ‘Shw3’ that makes it impossible for him to become a legit international artiste.
