Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has spoken on behalf of all men in the country ahead of Father’s Day celebration slated for Sunday, June 20 2021.
Van Vicker has begged mothers and children to safe men the disrespect of buying handkerchiefs and boxer shorts or shirts as gifts on Father’s day.
He urged them to be a little innovative come Sunday and change the dinosaur thinking because father’s in the country are tired of receiving ‘mugs, hankies, cufflinks, shirts, ties, etc.’
Van Vicker wrote on Instagram; “We do not want mugs, hankies, cufflinks, shirts, ties, etc for Father’s Day. We are tired ooo,” he lamented. “Please change the narrative this year. Study daddy (father) and you will decipher what he TRULY NEEDS.”
To assist mothers and children in what to buy as gifts, the award winning actor said they will know what fathers truly need on Father’s Day celebration when they stop assuming and take time to study fathers.
He said gifts like ‘watches, shoes, customized grooming sets, masculine travel bags, exquisite pens, new glasses frames and sunglasses,’ are good examples for the day.
“Let me give you some insights: Watches, Shoes, Customized Grooming sets, Masculine travel bags, exquisite pens, new glasses frames, sunglasses. The list is not exhaustive.”
“Our loved ones need to give Father’s gift more thought and stop the superficiality and conventional. Ya br3. Let the REAL FATHERS STAND UP!,” he concluded.
Sunday June 20, 2021 is slated as a day to celebrate father’s around the world and just as mother’s day was lit, father’s are expecting their day to be of equal importance.
