Sad Video Drops As Sound Sultan’s Wife Lies On His Coffin To Prevent Him From Being Buried – Watch

Popular Nigerian musician, Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, has been buried.

According to Muslim rites, the 44-year-old singer was buried on Sunday (the same day he died) in New Jersey, U.S.

His relative, Kayode Fasasi, released a signed statement which said Sound Sultan passed on after a “hard-fought battle” with the Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL), a rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The final funeral ceremony was hosted on an Instagram live video by his colleague, Lamboginny, who is now based in the U.S.

The video captured the family of the late Jagbajantis crooner and his friends, dressed in black outfits mourning his sudden passing.

Singer Olamide, was also spotted at the funeral.

Sound Sultan‘s teary wife, Farida, was completely inconsolable while witnessing her husband’s burial.

Some viral videos saw the mother of three lying on the coffin of Sound Sultan crying a river so she could drown.

Farida was held by two women who comforted her and prevented her from jumping into the grave when the motal remains of Sound Sultan was lowered into the ground.

Sound Sultan passed away on July 11, 2021, after battling throat cancer.

He was 44 years, survived by his wife, three children and his siblings.

Celebrities like Tiwa Savage, Simply Tacha, Juliet Ibrahim and others took to social media to mourn with the family.
