It is often the wish of fans of sportsmen that they love their legacy as much as they loved their reign.

Ike Bazooka Quartey’s look when he was interviewed by Joy News’ Citizen Attoh left viewers perplexed about his new look and started the drug speculation all over again. 

Even though he vehemently denied it, his words came across as hard to believe because of how queer he behaved during the interview and how defensive he acted when asked about his drug addiction.

The former boxer was seen with unkempt hair and beard and looked extremely unhealthy. He claims he switches up his hair often and this is one of his phases.  

Citizen Kofi addressed the picture here where he looked very different than we knew him to be and spoke on the negative comments speculating on social media with some suggesting he was on drugs and he didn’t have any money anymore and this seemed to shock Ike Quartey.

When asked why he neglected the clean stage Ike for the scruffy look, he said it was a decision he felt like taking and his hair does not signify his drug use. 

“Have I lost my mind?” “Have I lost my properties?! All my properties are there!”  said Ike Quartey as he slowly got uncomfortable with the angle of questioning and described these allegations as defamation of character and said whoever suggested that has to face the law. 

He got angry and lamented about how he had to build a name all these years and people are trying to tarnish it. He stated emphatically that he will take on whoever suggested he was on drugs whilst denying the allegations in the same breath.

He said he loves his wife and kids too much to do drugs and allegations like these give his wife sleepless nights. 

Maybe in one of the nights she can’t sleep, she should use time judiciously and give him a fresh cut. It might aid in subsiding the allegations.
