Growing up in a typical African home, your parents makesure you understand that the only means of gaining a sustainable source of income is by studying hard to achieve the highest level of education and working a white collar job.
Not that the above advice is wrong but 21st century has proven that one can make three times the salary of an office worker in a month just sitting home and fidgeting with thier phones or laptops.
A typical example is Wode Maya, a Ghanaian Youtuber who makes more money in a month than the President of the country (in terms of paid salaries).
Wode Maya is Ghana’s biggest Youtuber and he has revealed in an interview that he makes as much as Ghc 230,000 a month through his YouTube channel.
The President of Ghana and his ministers of states do not earn more than Ghc 50,000 but this young boy below the age of 30 does, all thanks to his global audience.
Speaking in a recent interview seen online, Wode Maya disclosed that he has set in motion plans to build a school and a clinic for his community.
The young Youtuber stated that although he makes millions of money from the content he shares on his page, he is sometimes treated like a commoner because he does not dress lavish.
He added that he does not flaunt his wealth because he has grown to understand that most Africans hate to see their fellow prosper.
With that perception as his safety net, Wode puts his big brother in charge of all the projects he does in his hometown.
