Sad As Nollywood Legend Rachel Oniga Dies of COVID-19

Nigerian film legend Rachel Oniga has reportedly died.

Reports say she died on Friday, July 30th, just after filming a new movie.

Oniga was a veteran actress and a legend in the Nollywood industry.

Per sketchy reports on the internet so far, she is alleged to have passed away from complications due to Covid-19.

The Nigerian blogger Cutie Juls wrote on her death: “JUST IN- Nollywood’s Racheal Oniga is dead. Reports says she died of COVID-19 complications May her beautiful soul Rest In Peace🙏💔💔💔”

Oniga is said to have featured in over 100 movies throughout her career.

May she rest in peace indeed.

Bio

Rachel Oniga was born in Ebute Metta, Lagos State, on May 23rd 1957.

She initially hails from Eku, Delta State.

She made her Nollywood debut in 1996 and as since gone on to star in over one hundred movies.
