Speaker Of Parliament’s Convoy Reportedly Involved In An Accident – One Person Feared Dead

We are informed that the convoy of the security team for the Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagin has been involved in an accident.

Eye witnesses reported to the press that the accident occured in the early hours of Friday August 6 around Juaso Junction in the Ashanti Region.

It was revealed that the accident claimed the life of Alban’s dispatch rider, feared to be Chief Inspector Kaakyire Abednego.

Reports claim the team was headed to Wa to await the arrival of the Speaker when a Toyota vehicle allegedly run into the convoy in Konongo leading to the death of the rider.

The driver, according to reports, refused to make way for the convoy despite sirens warning to creal the road.

The body of the dispatch rider is being transferred from the Juaso Government Hospital to Accra.

It is unclear if the Speaker was in the convoy or was injured in any way.
