American rapper DeAndre Cortez Way, popularly known as Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em has revealed that he might just try and get into the White House as the first black rapper to occupy the biggest position in the self-proclaimed land of the free.
Soulja Boy has had a flourishing career since he broke into the music scene in 2007 with “Crank That”. He has been focusing more on his businesses and himself lately, but he seems to have the interests of his country at heart and would like a chance to help contribute his quota by running for President.
He announced his presidential ambition via his Twitter handle and surprisingly got a lot of support from fans who said they’d vote for him any day.
Soulja Boy is not the first rapper with such great ambition. Billionaire mogul and talented artist Kanye West has had his eyes on the White House for a while now and is still very much interested in finding his way there.
Granted, Kanye West despite his many issues and bipolar tendencies probably has more of a chance with regards to credibility than Soulja Boy who has been considered as a wack rapper even though his songs manage to perform wonders on the music charts.
If he does succeed in getting elected for President though, he will become the first rapper to ever do it. And that would be a crying shame, to be honest, but good luck to him in his endeavors.
