Kim Kardashian is one of the most slandered celebrities in Hollywood, all because she chose to make the best of a situation that would have crippled others for life.
She became popular after a leaked video of her private moments with singer Ray Charles hit the internet, but now Kim Kardashian has morphed into a whole different woman, and it has everything to do with her ex Kanye West.
According to Kim, being with Kanye for years has helped her to not be bothered about people’s opinions of her. Speaking on the ‘We Are Supported By’ podcast hosted by Kristen Bell and Monica Padman, Kim had a lot to say about Kanye and his influence on her character.
“I used to care so much about being likable. Maybe being in a relationship with Kanye for a decade, and someone that absolutely didn’t care about likeability factor or what any perception of him was as long as he was true to himself, that taught me so much in the best way.
“As long as I’m myself and as long as I’m doing it the way that I want to do. Like you have one life and you are living it for you. That taught me to just, I think, be more confident in myself and truly not care as much about what other people thought”.
She admitted that she used to be a “people pleaser” but with Kanye West’s impact, she has learned to focus more on herself.
“I used to be such a people pleaser. And then when got to just learn to please myself no matter what that meant to other people. Still, be mindful, still, be respectful, still, be cautious about other people’s feelings around me. I would never want to offend anyone. But just being myself first I think was something I learned over time”.
