A level 400 student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Frederick Asamoah Frimpong has committed suicide.
According to the report, the young man committed suicide by hanging in his parents’ house during the UTAG strike.
Uncle of the deceased, Osei Kwadwo revealed in an interview that he visited the parent in Adoato in Bantama after lecturers went on strike and took his own life.
He revealed that they later found him hanging on the ceiling in his room.
‘We knocked on his door for several minutes but he didn’t respond. We called on his phone but he was not picking so we called a carpenter to break his door and we saw him hanging’. the uncle of the deceased narrated.

Apparently, the last message of the level 400 student, Frederick before he committed suicide is circulating on social media.
In a Whatapp chat with a trustee, the young man revealed that he is not okay and was thinking of suicide.
His friend begged him to banish that thought from his mind and promised to see him the next day but unfortunately, he couldn’t take it as he hanged himself.
Meanwhile, reports went rife yesterday that the student allegedly committed suicide after losing GHC 60,000 bet.
According to reports, he owned GHC 200,000 and wanted to win a bet with the GHC 60,000 so he pays his debtor but he rather lost everything and that supposedly was hard to deal with, so he took his last breath.
