Legendary Ghanaian comic and satirist Kwaku Sintim Misa has admitted he was seconds away from killing himself at one point in his life.
Life’s good for KSM now but there was a time things were not so rosy and he seriously considered ending it all.
He revealed the shocking news in an interview on Angel Fm with Okyeame Quophi.
Once upon a time, before returning to Ghana to delight us with his talents, KSM was a ‘borga’.
He was staying in New York City, New York state at the time – on the East Coast of the United States of America.

Despite being outside the country, life wasn’t particularly good for KSM.
According to him at the time he was dealing with a lot of issues and he saw no way out.
Depressed and tired of his life, KSM says he decided to commit suicide.
He narrated to Okyeame Quophi that he was literally seconds from taking his life when he abruptly changed his mind.
Okyeame Quophi, therefore, asked him what led to the change of heart.
He admitted that one big reason he changed his mind was that he was afraid.
KSM said he was scared of how painful the process will be and therefore had to abandon his idea.
Another reason he changed his mind was due to the shame he will bring his family.

KSM said he couldn’t stop thinking of how his parents will receive the news, especially his mum, and realised that he can’t do that to them.
Whatever the reason, he changed his mind and remains alive to this day to make us happy through his work.
KSM’s story is a bit of a motivational one to anyone going through intense hardships in life.
Things might look bleak now but if you hang in there you just might get your breakthrough when you least expect it.
KSM has lived a full life and is now a legend in Ghana but that might have never happened if he succumbed to his suicidal tendencies.
