Today Monday 13 September 2021, Rev. Bempah appeared before the court but journalists were prevented from entering the courtroom to cover the prosecution.

Many reporters from different media houses and blogs who were at the court yard got an ill treatment from law enforcement agents and bodyguards of the pastor.

No reason was given as to why they refused to let reporters cover the court proceedings but any one who was seen with a phone, a badge or camera was harassed.

A court reporter for Angel Broadcasting network was heard speaking on their midday news that the police told her she had no business reporting what the court had to say about Rev. Owusu Bempah.

She added that while church members were allowed to enter the room, bodyguards and police men had joined forces to harass journalists.

What I don’t understand is, election petition which was a matter of national interest was freely covered by journalists but they are being prevented from covering this story.
