List of 10 Richest Women in Ghana – Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Nana Konadu, Gifty Lamptey

Whenever you think of the list of richest people in Ghana, the names that come to mind are all male.

Kwaku Oteng, Osei Kwame Despite, Ibrahim Mahama, Kennedy Agyapong etc are those we generally regard as the richest around.

We almost never consider female millionaires when such lists are drawn.

Today, we bring you the list of the 10 richest women in Ghana.

The list was compiled by the site billionaires.africa.

Ladies on the list include former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, current first lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo and others.

10. Freda Yahan Duplan 

Freda Yahan Duplan was the first African female CEO of Nestle.

She has also served as Managing Director for Nestle Pakistan and head of Nestle Business Services in the Filipino capital, Manila.

She’s currently the Chairperson of Zenith Bank Ghana.

9. Nana Konadu Agyeman

Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings needs no introduction. She was First Lady for 19 years between 1982 and 2001 and head of the 31st December Women’s Movement.

Her net worth is estimated between $2m and $5m.

8. Edith Dankwa

Edith Dankwa is the founder of Ghana’s biggest business newspaper, Business and Financial Times (B&FT).

B&FT subsidiaries include Business Times Africa Magazine and Energy Today Magazine.

Edith Dankwa’s net worth is in the millions of dollars.

7. Valentina Mintah

Valentina Mintah is an expert in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

She is the creator of West Blue, a software used by the Nigerian Custom Service and other companies.

She has been appointed to the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the first Ghanaian and Black Woman to serve on the ICC Executive Board.

6. Gifty Lamptey

Gifty Lamptey is the CEO of Sidalco Group. Sidalcco is one of West Africa’s largest fertiliser distributors.

Her other companies include Dominion International Petroleum, Sidalco Construction and Roads, DEL Estates and Empire Concretes.

As the largest shareholder in Sidalco, Gifty Lamptey’s wealth is quite appreciable.

5. Grace Amey-Obeng

Grace Amey-Obeng is the CEO of Forever Clear Group.

A hugely profitable company, Amey-Obeng is thus one of the female millionaires in the country.

4. Kate Quartey Papafio

Kate Quartey Papfio is the CEO of Reroy Group, a cable company founded in 1992.

Reroy was the first cable manufacturer in the ECOWAS region.

3. Rebecca Akufo-Addo

Rebecca Akufo-Addo is the current First Lady of Ghana.

She is also the founder of the Rebecca Akufo-Addo Foundation, founded in 2017 to enhance government efforts to support Ghanaian women and children.

2. Theresa Oppong-Beeko

Theresa Opnong-Beeko is the CEO of real estate giants Manet group.

Manet constructs commercial and residential properties and are probably the most recognisable name in real estate in Ghana.

With an estimated net worth of 600m, Patricia Poku-Diaby is the richest woman in Ghana.

She is the founder and CEO of Plot Enterprise Group, a cocoa processing company in Ghana.

Plot Enterprise Group processes and manufactures natural and alkalized cocoa liquor, natural cocoa butter, natural and alkalized cocoa cake and natural cocoa powder from Ghana.
