A photo of the 81-year-old mother of Ghanaian style icon Kwasi Kyei Darkwa (KKD) has popped up online.
This is an unseen photo of the octogenarian, meaning this is the first time many social media users are being introduced to her.
The photos was shared by KKD as he celebrates his mum on her birthday.
The 55-year old broadcaster hailed his mum as she turned 81 years of age.
Sharing a photo with her, KKD extolled her virtues.
He wrote: “Happy 81st birthday my dearly beloved mother, carer, nurturer, inspirer, cheerleader, mentor and supreme friend. You raised and guided us and our friends from childhood through adolescence, young adults to enlightened workers in our various fields of endeavour. We love you so. Even in your old age you continue to do same for our children and their friends. They love you so.
“You taught us that as we work, love, pray, eat healthy & exercise for long life, we must endeavour to do all we can for the needy neighbour and stranger, and each old age pensioner in our family, especially our beloved parents, carers and helpers who have provided us with the attention, affection and various needs and upliftment to be who we are today.
“May God Almighty fill your heart with joy and grant you more years filled with peace, unconditional love, good health, wisdom, wealth, dignity, beauty and sincerity. Forever. For always. For love. -Your grateful first son,”
