“I have about two years left in boxing before I retire. When I retire, I plan to work as a security guard in America,”

“I cannot become a security guard in Ghana, but I can become one in the United States of America,” he explained.

Bukom Banku made this statement in an interview on Asempa FM, an Accra based radio station.

What the boxer said at the radio station is the sad truth in Ghana. Step on the street and ask about ten people if they would like to travel outside the country to seek greener pastures and 8 out of 10 will agree.
