It’s Better To Be a Security Man in America Than A Professional Worker in Ghana – Bukom Banku Says

Braimah Isaac Kamoko also known as Bukom Banku has said that it is better to be working as a security person in America than working a white collar job in Ghana.

The 1999 All-Africa Games Heavyweight bronze medalist said no job in Ghana can give its citizens enough salary to live a comfortable life in the country.

Bukom Banku said he will prefer to be a security man in the states than work in any white-collar job in this country called Ghana.

The boxer said he has two years left in his boxing career and he will pack bag and baggage after he hangs his gloves.

“I have about two years left in boxing before I retire. When I retire, I plan to work as a security guard in America,”

“I cannot become a security guard in Ghana, but I can become one in the United States of America,” he explained.

Bukom Banku made this statement in an interview on Asempa FM, an Accra based radio station.

What the boxer said at the radio station is the sad truth in Ghana. Step on the street and ask about ten people if they would like to travel outside the country to seek greener pastures and 8 out of 10 will agree.
