Fans Troll Okyeame Quophi After He Developed Broni Accent Whilst Interviewing Jim Iyke – Video

Failed Ghanaian musician turned presenter Okyeame Quophi received some spectacular trolling from social media after exhibiting his ‘fakeness’.

For some reason, many Ghanaian celebrities decide to generate foreign accents for themselves, as if it makes them look classier or well-travelled or something else.

Efia Odo for instance has a real accent due to spending the majority of her life outside. Others who spend three days on vacation in Santorini somehow manage to sound like her every day!

What sort of sorcery is that?

Okyeame Quophi, who typically has a normal, ‘kankpe’ Ghanaian accent, decided to sound cosmopolitan during an interview he recently held with Jim Iyke.

His questions and everything came out in this magical new accent he had acquired just for talking with Jim Iyke.

Fans decided to troll him on it as it really sounded funny.

One person commented in Twi: “Na saano Okyeame Kofi nso at) accent anaa s3 lafa,”

The comment literally means: “So Okyeame Kofi has bought a new accent or its ‘LAFA’ (locally acquired foreign accent).

We think it’s definitely a temporary ‘LAFA’.

Honestly, though, it’s natural to try and change your speech patterns a bit when speaking with a foreigner because you think that makes it easier for them to understand you.
