Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC unveiled their new signing for the season’s League, a forward identified as Dickson Afoakwa.
Dickson signed was signed as a free agent with a lucrative three-year contract which will expire in 2024, we can confirm.
“We have completed the signing of winger Dickson Afoakwa. The offensive player joins as a free agent on a three-year deal”, Kotoko announced.
It is not the signing that brought out the issue but the age which Dickson Afoakwa mentioned that caused an outroar on social media.

The tweep, who is 30 year now, said he was in the same elementary school as Afoakwa and even as at that time the player was the oldest among his peers.
The winger Dickson Afoakwa hopes to lead last season’s runners-up to win their first GPL title since 2013.

Also, the 23- year old winger has 6 only goals and 6 assists across 58 career games between July 2016 and December 2019.
He played alongside former Asokwa Deportivo forward Joel Fameyeh in the club Dynamo Brest.
