‘Oko Gyi Abedi’ – Ghanaians Slam Nana Addo After Begging for $100bn At Climate Summit

Social media users have landed blows on President Nana Akufo-Addo following a plea he made to world leaders at the just ended Climate Summit.

President Akufo-Addo reportedly called out world leaders at the Climate Summit for failing to fulfil a pledge to give African nations $100bn annually to fight climate change.

According to him, Africa contributes the least to climate change but is set to suffer the most hence that money must be paid.

“We’re naturally, very disappointed by the failure of the wealthy nations to honour their commitments of making available $100 billion annually to the poorer countries to assist us in the fight against climate change, and by the unavailability of the technology transfer that will help us find sustainable ways of charting a path out of this existential crisis,” the Ghanaian leader said.

His begging for money has brought out social media users to mock the President.

According to Ghanaians, world leaders should not give him that money because he just wants it to squander it.

One user said: “Dnt give him he will chop it,”
