Veteran Ghanaian actress, Nana Ama McBrown was recently honoured at the GUBA 2021 Awards.
The 2021 GUBA Award show came off on Monday, November 8th, at the Grand Arena in Accra.
The GUBA prestigious award is a UK-based Ghanaian award show which honours the contributions of distinguished African women.

The 2021 edition marked a century of the death of Ghanaian heroine, Yaa Asantewaa.
Among the personalities who were honoured, McBrown took home a special award titled, ‘The GUBA Yaa Asantewaa Entertainment Mogul’
She was particularly celebrated for her immeasurable contribution to the entertainment industry.
During her acceptance speech, McBrown got people emotional as she once again reminded people that she has no formal education.

According to Nana Ama McBrown, she’s a product of people who have no certificate to show but with dedication and perseverance have made an impact on society.
McBrown went on to dedicate the award to all women who think life is behind them and have no gains in it because they’re at a point where they can’t push farther. The actress advised that they keep trying and stay patient to wait for their victory!
