Former CEO of defunct UT Bank, Prince Kofi Amoabeng has recounted how he used to deal with debtors of his bank.
According to him, he practically turned a ‘drunkard’ to face defaulters of his bank loans.
In an interview with Kwame Sefa Kayi, Kofi Amoabeng revealed that he had to drink bottles of Guinness to face individuals who owned his bank when it was in operation.
He explained that two bottles of Guinness were not enough for him when he had to be in a serious mood to collect his money.
He revealed he sometimes had to cease their cars and other properties to pay for loans when things got crunchy.
“One thing I used to do is that if you don’t come to redeem yourself and I come to your house to meet your absence, I will search for where they sell Guinness and strategically sit there watching your gate. If you’re lucky and I drink one or two bottles, then it means I am not drunk yet, but if you keep long and I gulp about four or five bottles, then you are in trouble when I find you”
