Nigerian superstar Davido has shocked social media users after announcing that he’s donating every single naira he’s raised over the past few days to charity.
Davido, over the past few days, has asked people all over Nigeria to send him money to show him love.
He made the request on his birthday, sharing a bank account online and calling for donations.
According to him, he has always helped people and it’s now time for others to help him.
His request spread like wildfire as his colleague celebrities started sending him 1m naira a piece.
Ordinary Nigerians later joined as they sent in their own little contributions.
It became so big that even Ghanaian stars like Medikal started sending in their donations.
All in all, Davido is said to have raised 200m naira.
The singer has now shocked everyone by announcing he’s donating all that to charity.
Davido has released a statement announcing that he’s giving the money all away.
Amazingly, he’s adding his own 50m to the 200m naira he raised, bringing the total to 250m naira!
He’s donating it to orphanages around Nigeria and has set up a board of people to administer it.

Once Davido posted his account, numerous Ghanaian celebrities who have been hungry for a long time decided to take advantage and try their luck.
Some Ghanaian celebrities decided to take this as their chance to shamelessly beg the public.
At a time we have Ghanaians suffering from a wicked government raising taxes indiscriminately, these wicked celebs also came to beg.
And unlike Davido, they were serious and wanted the money to spend.
As Davido has donated his to charity, hopefully these greedy celebs would also see the light and give away whatever they’ve raised.
More importantly, they should stop disturbing already suffering Ghanaians with their shameless begging!
