‘I Could Not Give Him A Child So We Broke Up’ – Maame Dokono Shares Details Of Her 10 Years Relationship With David Dontoh

Ace Ghanaian actress Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Dokono has spoken about her alleged romantic affair with fellow actor, David Dontoh.

The 76-year-old doyen was guest on UTV’s United Showbiz yesterday and she affirmed all rumors that fellow actor David Dontoh was her lover.

Maame Dokono disclosed that she dated David Dontoh for over 10 years but they never reached the point which they wanted to marry.

Telling how and why she decided to date her colleague actor, the veteran said she started having an affair with David Dontoh in the 1990s on a movie set filming popular local drama series ‘Obra’.

She added that she only agreed to date the actor just to limit the number of guys who were after her.

Speaking on why they broke up, Maame Dokono revealed she was not able to give David Dontoh a child.

She already had four children with another man at the time and did not want to add more, Maame Dokono explained.

Grace Omaboe also advised women never to quit their jobs to become housewives upon request from their husbands.

The celebrated actress stated that she believes women can also achieve greatness and it is not advisable for them to abandon their businesses just to become housewives because their husbands say so.
