This weekend has been very great for Ghanaian dancehall musician Stonebwoy.
While he was thrilling patrons at a sold out UK show with back-to-back hit songs, his name was being mentioned in Nigeria as an award recipient.
Stonebwoy was announced winner at the 2021 AFRIMA as the Best Artiste, Duo or Group, African Reggae, Ragga & Dancehall for the fourth time.

Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, took home the coveted award for the fourth time.
Not only has Stonebwoy won the award four consecutive times but set the record of becoming the first Reggae and Dancehall artiste to win three times in a row.
The dancehall maestro managed to beat big names in Africa like, Shatta Wale (Ghana), A2 Di Fulani (Gambia), Bebe Cool (Uganda), EXQ ft. Tock Vibes (Zimbabwe), Mykey Shewa (Ethiopia), Nutty O (Zimbabwe), Patoranking (Nigeria), Rosa Ree (Tanzania), and Ruger (Nigeria).

He now holds the bragging right as four times “Best Artiste, Duo or Group, African Reggae, Ragga & Dancehall” winner and three times in a row (2015, 2018, 2019 and 2021).
Due to covid, the 2020 edition of the All Africa Music Awards(AFRIMA) was cancelled.
