In an interview on Prime Morning, Gifty Adorye referred to her meeting with Hopeson Adorye as a great miracle in her life.
Jay Foley, one of two hosts, stirred this editorial the minute he led Ghanaian Gospel singer Empress Gifty into answering the question on how she met her husband.

When asked how she met her husband, Hopeson Adorye, the Gospel musician shared a very detailed story.
According to her, her current husband who is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) possesses all the qualities she desired in a man.
“I met my husband at a funeral. A friend of mine, Ageorgia, he came from the US and invited me to his father’s funeral.” She narrated.
While there, she sat in her car waiting for her friend.
“All of a sudden, someone knocked at the glass of the door; so, I looked up and saw this fine gentleman who embodied everything I wanted in a man.”

“I was wearing my wedding ring because I didn’t want to get it off.”
Gifty Adorye also chipped in a little story about her failed marriage.
“There was so much talk at the time so I promised myself that unless I meet someone that I love, I won’t take it off. For almost four years after parting ways with my ex-husband, I was wearing it.”
