When a gossipmonger refuses to say anything about a trending issue, it leaves us wondering what happened.
In Ghana, there is a proverb that says, “One who has been bitten by a snake gets scared when he sees an earthworm”.
This proverb is analogous to the English idiom, ‘once bitten twice shy’.
It means if someone has been hurt in the past or has had something go wrong, the person tends to become extra cautious and sometimes paranoid, especially under similar circumstances.
Last year, Abena Korkor served Ghanaians the hottest gossip involving herself and Ghana’s Eugene Osafo Nkansah a.ka. Nkonkonsah.
That piece of news gained so much traction Eugene’s marriage was given a hot scare. Fortunately, they survived it and have moved on.
Fast forward to 2022, Abena Korkor is back again with another one of her relapses.
Even though, Eugene Osafo Nkansah of Nkonkonsah fame didn’t make the list, his work as a blogger has deliberately failed to report on the trending issue.
In other words, one million one hundred thousand plus followers of his work on Instagram alone have been starved of Abena Korkor’s updates.
