A Ghanaian man living in Italy has been forced to resort to living under a bridge as his life has taken a turn for the worst.
Wofa Thomas, as he’s known, says he’s now fed up with life abroad and is trying his best to return to Ghana.
The plight of the homeless Ghanaian was chronicled by a Ghanaian blogger, Kwaku Manakan.
Manakan and Wofa Thomas visited the bridge under which the elderly Ghanaian man lives.
The place is home to not only Wofa Thomas but scores of other homeless people in the Italian capital of Rome.

The homeless live in between the pillars of the bridge and have their belongings scattered about haphazardly.
The place serves simultaneously as their homes and also where they relieve themselves when nature calls.
After being forced to live in such dehumanising conditions, Wofa Thomas says he’s ready to return to Ghana but has been unsuccessful.
He claims he’s been to the Ghanaian embassy but he has no documents to prove his citizenship and hence has become stranded.
Wofa Thomas says he has no documents to prove he’s Ghanaian although he’s able to speak Twi and Hausa.
He revealed he met a man who promised to help him find his way back home but no help was forthcoming.
He’s now stranded in Italy and just wants to find a way to return home to Ghana.
