On Wednesday, an Instagram user accused Nigerian Musician Timaya of ramming his car into her sister a running off leaving her to die.

The IG user by name Osinubi Omowumi claimed to be the sister of the victim an said it took the timely intervention of bystanders to rush her to the hospital to save her life.

Omowumi accused the music star of causing severe injuries to her sister and blocking her when she reached out to him online.

She wrote: “This celebrity and how they behave. @timaya nearly killed my sister this morning. She hit her with his car and run. At Ikate few hour ago, he hit my sister car and she came down to ask him to look what he did, this heartless human was asking for number and she told him he would block her, rather for @timayatimaya to do the needful. He hit my sister with his car and ran away. She is at the hospital right now in serious pain and funniest part is me messaging him on Instagram to do the needful but this needless fellow blocked me after reading my message.”

It appears she reported the musician to the authorities as videos circulating on social media captured the Nigeria Police Force storming the residence of Timaya to arrest him.

The singer was seen explaining to the officers what transpired during the alleged hit and run incident.

A few minutes later he was whisked away by the armed police officers.

Timaya has explained what transpired between himself and the lady in an Instagram Live post.

According to the singer, he was running from 4 angry men who charging towards him after the accident.

He added that he came outof his car to collect her phone number so they could settle the matter amicably but had to save his life from mob attack.

The music star said he saw the lady on the floor when he looked in his rare view mirror.
