Stop Calling Yourself Dancehall King, You Do Not Deserve That Title – Gyadu Blay Ambolley slams Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale came with a plan after he went awol for years I the music industry. He buried Bandana and resurrected as Shatta Wale the Dancehall King.

The famous musician even recorded a song to establish that he contends with no one when it comes to dancehall music in the country.

Anyone who tried to rival his seat get a dirty fight, ask Samini and Stonebwoy.

The question many have been asking is, if Shatta Wale who is from Ghana and started doing dancehall for not more than three decades calls himself the dancehall king then what will the originators from Jamaica call themselves?

Veteran Ghanaian singer Gyadu Blay Ambulley has shot down Shatta Wale’s dancehall king title saying he does jot deserve to be called such.

Gyedu Blay took a dig at Shatta Wale saying he copied his craft from Jamaicans so does not qualify for such a title to be bestowed on him.

In the view of the veteran, it is absurd for Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr from Ghana to claim king over a genre that does not come from him homeland.

Calling Shatta a copycat, Gyedu Blay told Abeiku Santana on OKAY FM that all the artists who claim to be kings of foreign genres should bow their heads in shame.

Social media users threw their weight behind Gyedu Blay asking what happens to Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Alkaline and other top artistes from Jamaica if Shatta Wale claims to be the original dancehall king.
