Multiple Grammy-nominated American rapper Kendrick Lamar has arrived in Ghana and has already been spotted eating at a restaurant in Accra.
Viral reports have it that the US rapper quietly touched down in the motherland a few days ago ahead of his album release which is slated for May 13.
Reports claim Kendrick’s visit forms part of his project to shoot a documentary in Ghana and also a partnership deal with a streaming platform.
Videos and photos, as well as tweets confirming the reports, have been seen on social media since news of his arrival broke.
In one of the videos, Kendrick Lamar was seen hanging out with his team at a popular restaurant in Osu, a suburb of Accra.
It is widely speculated that Kendrick Lamar will be having a private album listening party on Saturday at an undisclosed location in Accra.
The party will be attended by a selected few music executives and culture enthusiasts, the reports included.
