A viral video circulating on social media claims that a thief was caught red-handed on the campus of the University of Legon.
According to the footage, security personnel and students from the school throng hauled the thief out of the Mensah-Sarbah Hall.
Even though the thief’s face was not disclosed, it was evident that he had been mobbed after being apprehended.
Reports also indicate that the thief had visited his friend on campus only to end up disgracing himself by stealing.
He stole a MacBook Pro laptop on campus and left the school to sell it in town.
Shockingly, it is reported the thief continued to Madina Zongo Junction, where he opted for a swap deal.
The swap deal allowed him to trade in the expensive MacBook Pro computer for an iPhone.
However, he ran out of luck when the owner of the laptop activated the Find My Device app to trace the lost item.
Check out the video below.
It is unclear what the university will do to the thief, but then again, it is a wake-up call to all students to stay alert.
