We are sure Islam is against such conversion–we mean becoming a Muslim purely because of a woman. But that seems to be what Ghanaian and Arsenal footballer, Thomas Partey has done.
Speaking to Nana Aba Anamoah a few days ago, Partey said he converted to Islam because he had fallen in love with his new girlfriend.
In the video, he stated: “I have a girl I love, I know my side chics will leave me but it’s no problem… I grew up with Muslims so at the end of the day it’s the same thing”.
“I grew up with Muslims so at the end of the day it’s the same thing”, Partey added.
Partey also said he is already married to this girl–this was when Nana Aba Anamoah asked when he intends to marry this new girl.
He said: “I’m already married and my Muslim name is Yakubu”
