Ghanaian football star Kevin Prince Boateng is set to be the first human being to have his wedding in the metaverse.
The metaverse is a virtual universe that has grown fromjust a blockchain or any other technology into a universe in which everyone can interact with other people, while data and value can be shared permissionless.
Prince Boateng is poised to make history as the first human to publicly marry in this virtual reality universe.

Boateng will be walking down the aisle and exchanging rings and vows with his model and businesswomen girlfriend Valentina Fradegrada, on Saturday, June 11.
The wedding ceremony will take place in the metaverse and is being organized by the leading Italian wedding organizer, Enzo Miccio.
Special invitation for the wedding has been made available as limited edition NFTs on the NFT marketplace OpenSea for a short period of time.

The after party and reception is set to take place at a specially designed location in the ‘OVER’ metaverse.
Speaking about his wedding in space, Boateng expressed pleasure saying that his wedding in the metaverse has given him the opportunity to do something that no one has done before for his wife to be.
“I wanted to do something special for Valentina, something that nobody had ever done,” said the footballer. And thanks to Over, we can celebrate our love like no one has done before, in a space location.”
