Reports seen on the PEOPLE say rumors that Johnny is returning to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise are “false”.

Rumors started circulating that the Pirates of the Caribbean was having a reboot with Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow for a payday of over $300 million.

This started after the saga’s producer Jerry Bruckheimer told U.K. outlet The Times in an interview published last month that his team was working on “two Pirates scripts — one with [Margot Robbie], one without.”
