Sylvester Stallone – ‘Rocky’ Actor Calls Out Producer For Cheating Him Out Of Huge Profits

Legendary actor Sylvester Stallone has called out the 93-year-old producer of the storied Rocky franchise for cheating him out of huge profits for the past 47 years.

Stallone, in a post on Instagram, revealed that he hasn’t received any share of the franchise’s profits from producer Irwin Winkler.

Sharing a photo of Winkler depicted as a snake, Stallone revealed he wants just a small portion of the franchise to leave behind for his children once he’s left this world.

“A very flattering portrait of the great ‘Rocky’/’Creed’ producer, Irwin Winkler, from one of the country’s greatest,” Stallone wrote. “After Irwin controlling ‘Rocky’ for over 47 years, and now ‘Creed’, I really would like to have at least a little [of] WHAT’S LEFT of my rights back, before passing it on to ONLY YOUR CHILDREN — I believe that would be a fair gesture from this 93-year-old gentleman?” he wrote.

Variety reports that the 76-year-old Stallone has raised these concerns for the past few years, such as in a 2019 interview.

“I have zero ownership of ‘Rocky,’” Stallone told Variety in 2019.

He revealed all he wanted was a larger stake that could be left for his children after his death.

“It was shocking that it never came to be, but I was told, ‘Hey, you got paid, so what are you complaining about?’ I was furious.”

Stallone concluded his Instagram post similarly, writing: “This is a painful subject that eats at my soul, because I wanted to leave something of Rocky for my children, but it’s always great hearing from the loyal fans… Keep punching,”
