Actor Neil Patrick Harris heaped praises on his husband David Burtka Tuesday night during the premiere of Netflix’s Uncoupled.

Harris recounted falling in love with Burtka and basically spending their entire adult lives together.

Speaking at the premiere, Harris said he’s known only the one relationship with Burtka and is very grateful for that.

“David and I started dating, and we never stopped, so, in an interesting way, it’s all I’ve known,” Harris said of his long-lasting relationship with his husband. 

“I didn’t come out till later. I didn’t really date a bunch of random people. I wasn’t around during the times of Grinder, swipe left, swipe right, so, I fell head over heels for this dude, and he was into me, and we started living together really quickly, and now we have 11-year-old kids, and we’re still going strong.”

The How I Met Your Mother (HIMYM) actor and his partner have been together for 18 years. They dated for ten years and got married in 2014.

Their 8th wedding anniversary is in September.

“I don’t know, that’s my singular story, I don’t know anything different. And I’m super happy. I’m very grateful.” he concluded.

Harris long-standing relationship is in stunning contrast to his character Barney Stinson from HIMYM, who was notorious for changing ladies like underwear.

For his next project, he plays Michael, a man in his mid-40s navigating single life after his husband of 17 years unexpectedly left him.

Uncoupled premieres Friday, July 29 on Netflix.
